SingaporeEmcees.com finds and books professional emcees and event hosts in Singapore for weddings, corporate events, dinner and dance nights, gala dinners, award nights, conferences, government functions and trade shows. You tell us the event, the guest count and the languages in the room. We send two or three emcees who fit, with profiles, videos and a price, and we stay with you through the script and the rehearsal.
Price: an emcee in Singapore usually costs SGD 800 to 3,500 per event, depending on the type of event, its length, the languages and the script work. See emcee rates in Singapore.
What a good emcee does for your event
An emcee is not there to be the show. The emcee keeps the show moving. That means calling the room to order, welcoming the guest of honour by the right title, timing the speeches against the dinner service, running the awards, the games and the lucky draw, and handing over cleanly to the band or the DJ. When a speech runs long or a video does not start, the emcee fills the gap so your guests never notice.
You notice a weak emcee in the gaps. A good one has read the run sheet, has practised the hard names and has briefed the sound team before the doors open.
Emcees for every kind of event
Weddings. The march-in, toasts, cake cutting, games and the send off. See wedding emcee, and for the bersanding, kompang and doa, the Malay wedding emcee.
Corporate events. Town halls, AGMs, company anniversaries and family days. See corporate event emcee.
Dinner and dance. The annual D&D with awards, games and two rounds of lucky draw. See dinner and dance emcee.
Galas and award nights. Formal pacing, name preparation and often a male and female pair. See gala and award night emcee.
Conferences and launches. Speaker introductions, panel moderation and a timed product reveal. See conference emcee.
Government functions. Protocol, forms of address and a script reviewed in advance. See government agency emcee.
Trade shows. Booth presenters who draw a crowd and pass leads to your sales team. See trade show emcee.
Birthdays, milestone parties and Chinese New Year company dinners are covered too.
Languages
Most rooms in Singapore are mixed. Hosts work in English with Mandarin, Malay or Tamil, and some in Hokkien or Cantonese for older relatives or staff. A bilingual emcee costs a little more than English only, because the pool of fluent hosts is smaller.
What the fee should cover
A proper emcee fee covers a planning call, a written script or run sheet, one rehearsal by phone or at the venue, arrival 30 to 60 minutes early for a sound check, and the hosting itself. Rehearsal is the item most often cut to reach a low price, so check it is in your quote. The run sheet and script guide shows what to send your emcee and when.
How to start
Send the date, the venue, the guest count, the type of event and the languages on WhatsApp or through the quote form. You get a shortlist and a price, usually within a working day.
